Snorkel with Turtles

At the Silk Cayes

ABOUT THIS TOUR

There are 3 tiny islands almost on top of the Belize Barrier Reef, they are called the Silk Cayes or Queen Cayes and they are a part of the Gladden Spit Silk Cayes Marine Reserve. These islands offer great snorkeling! Of the three, one is reserved for nesting birds. Unfortunately, it is almost completely eroded.

The last Caye offers visitors a great platform for our snorkeling adventure! Enjoy great snorkel around the southernmost Silk Caye. Snorkeling lasts about an hour. Following, we enjoy snacks as we move over to Turtle Alley where you can now snorkel with HUGE Loggerhead Turtles, Nurse Sharks, Southern Stingrays Caribbean Rough Tail Stingrays, Eagle Rays and other sea creatures! Marine life occupy the area awaiting to snack on scraps thrown in the water by fishermen cleaning their catch.

After we leave Turtle Alley, we either cruise back enjoying Rum punch OR we can stop at an Island Resort to pass some time before we return to get you back on time for your return Ferry.
