Snorkel with the Turtles at

The Silk Cayes

On this Adventure you get to experience a few unique opportunities, you get to snorkel on the world famous and world heritage site “The Belize Barrier Reef’ you also get a 90% chance of an up close encounter with Huge Loggerhead Turtles, Nurse Sharks, Southern Stingrays, Caribbean Rough Tail Stingray, and Eagle Rays.

The Silk Cayes are 3 very very small islands that are almost on top of the barrier reef, they are surrounded by reefs teeming with fish and critters, and we get to snorkel around the southern most Silk Caye. the southern Silk caye has picnic tables and restroom facilities for our use so this is why we base here.

Once we’ve arrived at the island the friendly park rangers gives us a brief overview of the park system and the rules, your guide then steps in briefs you about your first snorkel adventure and then leads you on it, pls don’t be afraid to ask if you need any instructions or advice on how to snorkel, we’re here to help. After the first snorkel is over we relax and have lunch, beach buffet style , then let the tummies settle a bit and on your timing we then head over to of the patch reefs in the area. here we do a second snorkel from the boat around that patch, which will eventually lead us to our third area “Turtle Alley” here we get to see the turtles and friends, please keep in mind they are wild animals and roam freely, there are odd times when they are not around. but most times they are around and you get to enjoy them upclose. Truly a unique experience.

After that we break out the rum punch for the journey back home
